How to find us:

Arrival by car:

Coming from Kassel or Dortmund, take the Soest/Möhnesee exit on the Autobahn 44 and then follow the B229 towards Möhnesee. The B229 leads through the district of Wippringsen to Delecke and the southern shore of the lake. You can reach the other villages via the B516 (Haarstrang). After the village of Wippringsen, you can turn right onto the B516.

Coming from Wuppertal, Hagen or Bestwig on the A46, take the Arnsberg-Ost exit and follow the B229 towards Möhnesee. This will take you to the southern shore of the lake and over the Delecke Bridge to the northern shore.

Arrival by bus & train

Various bus routes from Soest and Arnsberg to Möhnesee allow you to travel comfortably by public transport.

Soest train station:

Soest train station is served by the following train lines:

- Hamm - Soest - direction Kassel

- Kassel - Warburg - Altenbeken - Paderborn - Soest - direction Hamm

- (RB 59 - Hellweg-Bahn) Dortmund - Unna - Soest

- (RB 59 - Hellweg-Bahn) Soest - Unna - Dortmund

The R49 line runs regularly from Soest station to the districts of Körbecke and Delecke, which are located directly on the lake. Please pay attention to the destination "Delecke" when boarding in Soest, as the R49 is a connection between Möhnesee, Soest and Bad Sassendorf. The journey time from Soest to Delecke is around 30 minutes.

Arnsberg (Westf.) station:

Arnsberg station is served by the following train lines:

- (Obere Ruhrtal-Bahn) Hagen - Bestwig - Warburg

- (Upper Ruhrtal Railway) Warburg - Bestwig - Hagen

- Dortmund - Bestwig - Winterberg/Brilon Wald-Brilon Stadt

- Winterberg/Brilon Wald-Brilon Stadt - Bestwig - Dortmund

From Arnsberg station, line 548 runs every 2 hours on weekdays to the south bank of the Möhnesee, Stockum and Körbecke "Seestraße". A minibus is occasionally used on this line. The journey time from Arnsberg to the Möhnesee is around 25 minutes.

Bicycle bus:

From the end of April to October 3, RLG's bicycle buses run on five regional routes on all Sundays and public holidays. These buses with special bicycle trailers offer space for a total of 16 bicycles. You can get on or off at any stop along the route. The bikes in the trailer travel free of charge.

All Westphalia fare tickets are valid for passengers on the bicycle bus. The 9 o'clock day ticket, which is valid as a single ticket for one adult including three children or as a group ticket for up to five people, is a particularly good value ticket. The ticket can be used for both the outward and return journey. You can get your ticket from us at the tourist information office in Körbecke or directly on the bus.
